Our Process
Making a cyanotype involves placing a negative image on treated paper fabric, after an iron based solution is brushed on, the paper is placed under ultraviolet light to develop, all parts of this process are carefully prepared by hand as we treat each part of it as a new opportunity to create unique images.
At Det[MF] we also experiment with traditional silver-print photography, now sometimes forgotten by the new digital photography, for this process, we carefully transfer an image into a light-sensitive paper that holds the silver grains of the photographic image.
